01 – Busses / Replacement services
DB Regio Bus is the bus division of DB Regio AG and the leading provider of bus transport in Germany with around 420 million passengers. It comprises more than 9,900 buses operating in almost 300 districts and independent cities. It thus promotes sustainable mobility and makes a significant contribution to integrated everyday mobility. In addition to DB Regio’s own buses, third-party companies are also commissioned for replacement transport services. This not only increases the complexity of planning, but also the diversity of the traveller experience.
02 – Traveller information
The right information for the journey at the right moment. This simple-sounding requirement quickly becomes very complex due to a very delicate interplay of data interfaces and playout media. Help us to become more efficient and correct by optimising internal processes, collecting and analysing data.
03 – Capacity information
The diversity of the vehicles also plays a decisive role when considering capacity utilisation. DB Regio would like to inform customers about the capacity utilisation of buses and trains before they set off and also during their journey. This also includes the This also includes the carriage of bicycles.
04 – Mobility hubs in rural areas
Mobility hubs will play an important role in the transport transition as one simple and regional access point for integrated everyday mobility. In particular, mobility hubs enable a needs-based and location-specific linking of the various mobility services. As transfer points with a high quality of stay, the aim is to increase the attractiveness of public transport and create a meeting place where waiting times can be used efficiently.
